Impressive tutorial. Here's an unsolicited suggestion. Vocally, your singing very nasally. Your voice would sound really good if you adjusted your focus more toward your chest. You will still cut through fine. You will be much richer and your pitch is already excellent.

I make a regular D chord and then toss my pinky on f# on the d string. It felt weird at first, but now I kind of like it. I might try with the thumb, though.
